Zoo life

Yesterday, T and I headed over to the National Zoo. We probably go to the zoo once every other month which is absurdly often. I think I went to the zoo once every 3 years growing up, once in college, and once before dating T. However, we find it fun to wander around and zoos bring out some of the best people watching.

My favorite animal is always the panda. Since it was raining yesterday, Tian Tian was inside but was very active fighting with the bamboo and then sitting down for a snack. Super cute.

We also saw these random South American squirrel creatures...I have already forgotten their actual title. I thought they were just the cutest because of they were cuddling together taking a nap.

The best part of my day came from the Ohio State win. Welcome to the Final Four!!! Go Bucks.

Fridays...

1.  My favorite color is     Yellow. This shocks people because I have an obsession with pink everything and yet it isn't my favorite color .

2.   My home decor color palette includes   America- Navy Blue and Reds in the living areas and purples and teals in the bedroom.

3.  Other people always tell me I look good in the color   teal, random I know .

4. The color I detest is    brown. Brown clothes are not cute.

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be   pink or blue.

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is   yellow. Sad for me!

7.  The color of my favorite dress is   black? Isn't that a standard answer. My favorite day dress is white and blue. My favorite party dress is black and hot pink!

OOTD

No posts last week and now two posts in one day...Big things happening here! With the first day of spring being yesterday, I was stoked to bring out my Lilly shifts! The one I wore yesterday I love and have had for a few years. Today's dress is actually being worn for the first time...though I have owned it for the better part of 2.5 years.

You can see I am not proficient yet in taking my own picture. One day.

I love Easter. It is my absolute favorite holiday since it involves God, pastels, family and chocolate. I was never allowed Peeps as a child and found them my freshman year of college when the girl next store received 300 from her mom. Now, I allow myself a box or two each Easter season.

While I have finally gotten in a workout routine, I love going to pinterest for motivation. Running is the best way to escape things that are happening in life and just think.

I was reading People.com yesterday and Audrina had a tweet appeared on the page about how she loves this new song. I decided to go take a listen and I agree it is a perfect spring playlist song.

Work Trips

I unintentionally took a blog hiatus. I originally was going to post about last weekend but wanted to wait for photos and then I went on a work trip. So, last weekend, my runner girls and I ran the St. Patrick's Day 8k in DC. It was a fun race which took us around the Capitol and back to the Occupy DC folks.
Monday-Thursday, I was in Hawaii for work. Since I was traveling alone and have been to Oahu before I skipped out on all the tourist stuff and I was able to get in some great runs and also see some new sites.

Here are some photos from my run on Tuesday morning.

Now some photos from my work locations. First, I had a training at Pearl Harbor and the following day I headed to USMC Hawaii. The drive to the USMC base is one of the most beautiful ever.

Kaneohe Bay. I stopped here for a bit after my training at the Marine Corps base. This is literally a five minute drive from them. Gorgeous.

New Obsession

While I don't usually blog on the weekends I have to share my new favorite thing.

Zico Chocolate Coconut Water. It is so much better than regular coconut water and doesn't have the little coconut flakes that I usually dislike. The Zico brand has a ton of other flavors which I am now super excited to try. Whole Foods here I come.

Yesterday, T was playing music for us and decided he needed to hear Lisa Loeb. After listening it reminded me of another great song and a cycle was created. For your listening pleasure, flashback to 1994 and 1997.

Friday Faves

This week I could definitely have used a vacation. Here are places I have never been that I could see becoming a favorite destination.

Syndey, Australia...Beaches, City Atmosphere, Culture, Mountains, AUSTRALIA. What would be not to love about this place?

Paris, France...City of Romance, Art and baguettes. It is a carb lover/romance lover's dream.
Scotland... After hearing about my parent's trip there a few years back, I have wanted to go. Every picture looks like a postcard.
Costa Rica...I think zip lines and surfing and that sounds like a wonderful getaway.

March Means Almost Spring

For Christmas, T's sister gave me a gift card to ModCloth. I have perused the site a thousand times before and could never commit. I just don't know anything about the brands so I question the fit, the material, everything. However, I am not going to waste a gift card. Here are dresses I am currently liking.
