One of my favorite things to do in DC is explore the random parks. My favorite park in DC (technically Northern Virginia) is Gravelly Point. The park is located on the Potomac River.
You can also see famous DC landmarks such as the Washington Monument and the Capitol.
The park is directly North of DCA which makes it fun to watch the airplanes land.
They say that Gravelly Point is one of the best spots in America for airplane spotting.
I like it best for reading a good book and people watching.
