Justin Bieber

How do you feel about Justin Bieber?

I can't get into him. At work today, we were talking about this little man. Am I too old for this 16 year old crooner? I have always been an avid boy bander with the exception of the Jonas Brothers....If I was still in HS would this Bieber be as faintworthy as Mr. Justin Timberlake or Mr. AJ McLean?

I tried to watch his Diary on MTV and I just did not like him. I get that you moved to Atlanta from Canada but you are not actually from the ATL. I think it would be helpful for you to realize this so you can stop comparing yourself to Usher. You are nothing like Usher.

Eating Out...

Currently, my body and I are in a bit of a fight. If I overindulge even a little, I can see the error of my ways immediately and for the next few days. FitSugar.com has this great article about what to look for on the menu when dining out.

This is incredibly helpful for me since I love Chinese and Mexican foods.

my little runner

While I was running around Oklahoma and Dallas to get back to DC, my bestie was running for a cause in NYC. Congrats Mallory on your excellent time and completing your 15K.

Love you.

March Madness

There are few things in life that I like more than spring. March Madness gets me in the mood for being social again and I come out of hibernation to find the nearest bar to watch my teams. However, since GW and UVA failed me this season (not a shock)...I only have one team left to follow. So...

Dear Ohio State,
Do Not Fail Me Tonight. I would like to bring in spring the right way with a National Championship or at least a nice little dance.

Thanks,
Kathleen

Happy St. Patrick's Day

To celebrate Mallory and I's heritage, here is my favorite place in Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher.

Jessica Simpson...actually right

I always watched Newlyweds with Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey and wondered if she really was that annoying in person. "Is this chicken what I have or is this fish? I know it's tuna. But it says chicken. By the sea."

However, I read US Magazine and the girl actually sounded some what with it. I know most of my friends and I can completely agree with her on this: Simpson says she thinks "women dress more for other women. I think that they want to be in shape more for other women." I get that boys like in shape women but really someone will like you if you are a little heavy. You just want to fit in with your girlfriends and the girls I see on tv.

On Nicholas Sparks

How you slay me....Every Single Time.

Last night, I finished reading The Last Song and I just sat there crying like a baby. I couldn't stop and I didn't even care. That man and his use of words....I swear, its like he sits there and is like 'What will make Kathleen this time?' Well, you got me.

I had started reading the cry baby chapter on the bus to work and got a little teary so I knew to close it. Nothing would have been more awkward than a girl in a hot pink Lilly number crying on a bus of big military men.

Anyway, for everyone living under a rock. The Last Song is about a 17 year old New Yorker who is forced to spend the summer living in North Carolina with her dad. The lovely, poor postured Miley Cyrus will be playing the lead character in the movie coming to out soon. I had no intention of seeing it but now I will be there probably crying all over again.

Think You Had a Bad Date?

Awful First Dates.com lets you relive other people's bad dates so you can 1. realize your date wasn't as bad as it could have been and 2. rate other dates to tell them "Damn, that's awful" or "Meh, not so bad".

Enjoy.

Oscar Night 2010- Kathleen Edition

Penelope Cruz. Fabulous.
Demi Moore. Usually you look so old and anorexic to me but you rocked it last night, Demi.
Cameron Diaz. The makeup isn't working for me but I love the dress.
Anna Kendrick. Only someone with her skin tone could rock this.

My favorite dresses from the 2010 Oscars. Thoughts?

Alice in Wonderland

I saw the new Alice in Wonderland yesterday and really enjoyed myself. I was never a fan of the Disney Alice in Wonderland so I had low expectations for Tim Burton and crew. The new movie should really have been called Alice Back in Wonderland but whatever. Johnny Depp was his usual random character self and did a great job with the hatter. The man always comes off as mad though. Anne Hathaway, I usually think you can do no wrong but your arm movements were so bizarre and unnecessary. I think you over thought this White Queen business. You might not have even been too bad but with Johnny, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska, Anne didn't stand a chance. Overall, the cartoon set was very colorful but not creepy as some reviews had referenced it. I would recommend the movie to anyone. It's on PG and most people in the theater were under 12 so it can definitely be a happy affair.

Jack's Mannequin

Last night, I got to see Jack's Mannequin at the 930 Club. It was a great show for a number of reasons.
1. They are my favorite band. I love all their music.
2. Bobby "Raw" Anderson is honestly my only celebrity crush and anytime I get to see him, I am happy.
3. I ran into a few of my sorority sisters who I don't see very often.
4. I ended up being given a ticket for tonight too. YAY.

Andrew McMahon is the lead singer and if you don't know is story...he's legit. He fronted Something Corporate, did Jack's Mannequin as a side project, was diagnosed with and overcame leukemia, started an amazing charity and now still tours.

If you don't know them, I suggest listening to them.

Today, is the first day of Spring...somewhere in the solar system. For this reason, I brought out the Lilly and started searching for new additions.

I love this.
